How to Set Up IPTV on Mac
A complete walkthrough for getting TV Brit running on your Mac, from installing a player app through to your first channel. Takes about five minutes.
What You’ll Need
✓ Any Mac running a recent version of macOS, Intel or Apple Silicon
✓ A stable internet connection, 25 Mbps or more recommended for HD/4K
✓ Your TV Brit access details, sent after you message us on WhatsApp

Step 1: Download Your IPTV Player App
We’ll recommend a free player once you message us, either an App Store app or a direct download.
1. Message us on WhatsApp to get the recommended app and download link
2. Open the link on your Mac, or search for the app directly in the App Store

Step 2: Open the App (Allow If Blocked)
Apps downloaded outside the Mac App Store are sometimes blocked by Gatekeeper the first time you open them, this is easy to bypass.
1. Double click the downloaded app to open it
2. If you see “cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”, go to System Settings
3. Open Privacy & Security, scroll down and select Open Anyway
4. Confirm to open the app

Step 3: Message Us for Your Access Details
Once the app is open, you’ll need your personal access details to unlock channels.
1. Message us on WhatsApp
2. We’ll send your access details straight away
3. Keep the app open and ready

Step 4: Enter Your Details and Start Watching
The last step is loading your channels.
1. Open the IPTV player app
2. Enter the access details we sent you
3. Wait a moment for the channel list to load
4. Browse the guide and pick a channel, you’re live

If Something Doesn’t Work
App won’t open, Gatekeeper keeps blocking it: go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and select Open Anyway, you’ll need to confirm this within about an hour of the first attempt.
Can’t find the app in the App Store: use the direct download link we sent via WhatsApp instead.

Common Questions
Do I need a VPN to use IPTV on Mac?
No, a VPN is not required for TV Brit to work.
Which Mac models does this support?
Any Mac running a modern version of macOS, both Intel and Apple Silicon models work fine.
Can I use TV Brit on Mac and another device at the same time?
Depends on your plan. As part of TV Brit’s IPTV Subscription UK service, multi-device plans are available, message us to check your subscription details.
What if my Mac is older?
Older macOS versions may not support the newest app version, message us and we’ll point you to a compatible option.
