How to Set Up IPTV on Samsung Smart TV

A complete walkthrough for getting TV Brit running on your Samsung Tizen TV, from installing the Smart IPTV app through to your first channel. Takes about ten minutes.

What You’ll Need
โœ“ A Samsung Smart TV running Tizen, 2016 model or newer
โœ“ A stable internet connection, 25 Mbps or more recommended for HD/4K
โœ“ Your TV Brit access details, sent after you message us on WhatsApp
โœ“ About 10 minutes

Step 1: Install the Smart IPTV App

Samsung TVs work best with Smart IPTV, a widely used app that links your subscription to your TV’s own unique identifier instead of a username and password.

1. Press Home on your remote
2. Open the Apps section from your Smart Hub
3. Search for Smart IPTV
4. Select it and choose Install

Step 2: Find Your TV’s MAC Address

Instead of a login, this app links your subscription to your TV’s own MAC address.

1. Open the Smart IPTV app once installed
2. Your MAC address is shown on screen automatically
3. Write it down or take a photo of the screen
4. Keep the app open

Step 3: Send Us Your MAC Address

Once we activate your subscription against that address, channels load automatically, no username or password needed.

1. Message your MAC address to us on WhatsApp
2. We’ll confirm your subscription and activate it
3. Wait for our confirmation message
4. Keep the Smart IPTV app open on your TV

Step 4: Reload the App and Start Watching

No login screen, your channels appear automatically once your MAC address is active.

1. Once we confirm, close and reopen Smart IPTV
2. The app checks your MAC address automatically
3. Wait a moment for the channel list to load
4. Browse the guide and pick a channel, you’re live

If Something Doesn’t Work

Can’t find Smart IPTV in the app store: some regions or older Samsung models don’t list it directly, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll send an alternative install method.
MAC address not showing: restart the app, it’s usually visible on the very first screen.
Channels buffer or freeze: see our buffering troubleshooting guide.
Still stuck? Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll walk through it with you directly.

Common Questions

No, Samsung setup uses your TV’s MAC address instead. Once we activate it, channels load automatically with no login needed.
Does this work on older Samsung TVs?
Tizen models from around 2016 onward generally support Smart IPTV. Older Smart Hub versions may not, message us to check your exact model.
Can I switch to a different Samsung TV later?
Yes, as part of your IPTV Subscription UK plan, just message us your new TV’s MAC address and we’ll move your access across.
What if I have a different TV brand?
